When I was 16 years old, I took my first flight across the Atlantic to join my aunt’s family on a drive through Europe. I was there to help take care my three young cousins, but I enjoyed ever minute of my journey. That two-month road trip was the start of a love affair with travelling and experiences I had then are still shared today.

While I have had a long career in business journalism — editing and writing about everything from investments to entrepreneurship and careers — I found time to dabble in travel writing for a national newspaper in Canada and a few magazines. I have now turned my writing skills full-time to travel.

In this space I share some of my experiences that didn’t end up in a piece for print or online media, as well as the articles I have had published. I hope you find them inspiring.
